As someone who has every single Give Yourself Goosebumps book, the black spine ones, especially the Special Edition ones, are rare to find out in public, but expensive to buy online. There had been a couple of times where I had to rebuy a Give Yourself Goosebumps book for various reasons. When I read the books, if I reached a bad ending, I'll go back to the previous page I was on. Think of it as redoing a level you lost on a video game. I'll even bookmark a spot that's important for the story. Not only that, I'll use my Google docs to type down the items that are in the books, including page numbers that I used.

Admittedly, there were a few times where I cheated. When there's a page where you have to go through a maze with a drawing of a maze or anything that you have to use with a writing tool, I will not put any marks on them, and simply go to the page.

I remember reading through Diary of A Mad Mummy so many times that the pages began literally falling out of the book when I was a kid. Good times.

I vividly remember one of the endings of Into The Jaws of Doom where you are killed by a giant mosquito. I still think about that to this day.

I always loved how completely deranged the endings of these books could be. Like Wicked Wax Museum has so much actual body horror in it. The doom slide from Carnival of Horrors also pops into my head whenever I’m on an enclosed waterslide

FUN FACT: even though the man eating plants in the Goosebumps movie are from You're Plant Food the end credits animation of the plants reference the art of Escape From StinkEye Swamp so Nagatta had his art referenced even if he was put out of a job

A core childhood memory was the Toy Terror book with the Zorgs. I was legitimately having nightmares about the ending where they eat you alive and the book literally tells you to close it because it was the only way to save yourself. I was so fascinated by it though and kept going back to read that ending even knowing how much it gave me anxiety because it was probably my first real experience with a fourth wall break like that

The Give Yourself Goosebumps with the jelly sandwich was the only copy from that series my family owned when I was growing up.
