I had a deep plane face lift 7 months ago ( in the UK) with upper bleph . I suffered nerve damage, resulting in my mouth dropping at one side. It was traumatising - I had Botox to try to level my mouth out. My speech was affected due to the problem with my mouth. I was so so scared that it would not get better. After around 5 months it started to heal and level out. I’m writing this in case any of your viewers are going through a similar thing - NOBODY talks about these after effects - I searched social media looking for some reassurance that my mouth would heal ( in some cases it doesn’t!) Your channel is the most honest out there. Thank you ❤ BTW the scars behind my ears are still red and tender. The upper bleph was the best part of my surgery- I would recommend it - but not the deep plane face lift .

Anyone who gets a facelift is critical of their looks to begin with. I think you are still in that mindset of analyzing. your features. You have wonderful skin and hair and look amazing. You deserve to be at peace with your choices. You have prioritized your beauty and it has paid off. Maybe not as much as you'd like..but I think that is all of us feel the same about our faces too. :)

Thank you!! Your experience is exactly why ive been reluctant to do these procedures. You pay all that $$$$$, pain, time, suffering for what, to look slightly better. Its very tempting when you follow someone with drastic changes, like Michelle Woods, who went to Guatemala and paid such a small amount and ends up looking like the daughter or younger sister of the person she went in as prior. But, who really knows how she looks now. I feel like you end up after everything is said and done having a distorted version of yourself the 1st few months after surgery from all the inflammation. And, once thats gone so are the "improvements" most of the time. This is why surgeons never do 2-3 + yr follow ups. Because no one would get a f.l. if tgey knew the truth of how long they actually lasted. I had a fet transfer done 10 yrs ago and hated it the 1st few yrs, then learned to live with it & now its mostly gone.

I so appreciate your sharing, its rare to find the TRUTH about what patients really feel after a year or more. ❤

Thank you for sharing this. I am 5 1/2 months post Deep Plane FL, neck lift, upper and lower blephs, and fat transfer. I am completely distraught at how big my lower cheeks are. My Dr. swears that they will go down, but I also feel like I am being gaslighted, as in the same breath I am told that they look fine. I hate pictures of myself as my once pretty smile looks ridiculous. One of my eyes is now smaller than the other. It’s sad because I was never self conscious of how I looked before and now I am. I was told that I would simply look refreshed but now I don’t look like myself. I, too, am very annoyed of the videos of how wonderful people look just a short week or two later. I am still holding on to hope but not much has changed over the last few months. I am giving it one year and then I don’t know what I will do! You look beautiful and I’m sorry you are not 100% happy. We should be, right?

This is one of my worst fears.
I’m shopping now for surgeons and yes I follow Dr Karam as well.
I think you look great but no offense, your lips are so over done that it’s making that area look so much worse.
It takes all the focus away from what does look good.

You have the most beautiful skin, eyes and hair. You look amazing. I hope things settle for you and you find some peace within yourself. I've never had any type of surgery and don't think I ever will, but I if I ever did, I know I'd be too obsessive about the results and drive myself mad about it. That would be too mentally torturous for me. I hope you feel better about your results with time. You do look great.

Thank you! I am very critical of myself and others and you look fantastic! I hope you are in a better place at this time!

Yes, I understand completely, but I'm a lot more cranky about it than you. So many people claim that they are healed and perfect in a short time. I totally appreciate your HONESTY. Thank you for sharing this important information ❤

I had a SMAS plication FL, NL & lateral brow lift in early May, then upper bleph and lip lift in late Aug. The lip lift made the corners of my mouth turn down so far I had to wear a mask everywhere I went and cancel all my plans for months because it looked so bad. I went in and got some botox in my DAO's which really helped a lot. Now the swelling is going down and it even looks better, but I feel like I'll still have some permanent residual down turning at the corners that I just can't do anything about. Maybe I'll just live with it, maybe in a year or 2 I'll get a corner lift. So hard to look in the mirror and not look like yourself though, when all you wanted was what was promised, that "refreshed" look. I fell victim to the 2-week recovery lie too. Just makes me frustrated every time I think about it!!
