Yes! Firefly became such a loved show that even after it was cancelled, there was such a demand for more that a few years later a movie was made. Thank you for reacting to this great series.

Can we just talk about how beautiful that last shot with Book and Amara is? Here is this holy man who's feeling lost, and then you have this companion who offers him words of wisdom, with her hand gently placed on his head. Its like the roles are reversed between the two of them in that moment.

"Ivan" is a crazy Ivan, a maneuver invented by Soviet sub captains to evade pursuit. a sub's sonar sensors are all found facing forward in the bow. when a Soviet sub suspects an enemy sub is following them he has his sub pull a 180 so the sensors are facing backwards & sends a sonar blast that temporarily blinds any sub that's following behind then turns in a random direction & heads off, taking advantage of any potential enemy's temporary blindness for cover. the maneuver was popularized by The Hunt For Red October but it's a real thing.
