  The guitar market is so flooded with both old/used &amp; new models that I&apos;m surprised that prices are still so high. It scares me to think of how many unsold guitars are being turned into firewood or being put thru a chipper? So I&apos;m also surprised the guitar market hasn&apos;t collapsed already being that guitars are no longer prominent, bands are now geared towards &quot;sampling&quot; &amp; young people just don&apos;t share the same enthusiasm for guitar that we did back in the 60&apos;s &amp; 70&apos;s &amp; even into the 80&apos;s &amp; 90&apos;s. 😢<br>BTW: I bought my first New guitar a 1977 Fender Stratocaster when they were still only mage in America; it had a natural finish, maple neck &amp; they still only had a 3 way switch with the hardshell Fender case for $325. That same guitar with a hardshell case would now cost $1400. 😮

  yamaha trans-acoustic FG-TA made in china for $800 but under the strict supervision and inspection by yamaha’s japanese luthiers, so a very well crafted guitar

  I just got a $130 strat from Ali Express. It took some setup and I replaced the plastic nut with a bone nut. It’s a pretty decent guitar. A comparable Squire would have cost twice that - a USA Fender 10X.

  I have a Godin made in Canada, Gretsch made in China, mim Tele, and my latest purchase, a Slick I just got and haven’t really inspected closely yet so not sure where it’s made, but I’m sure it’s made in an Asian country. All great guitars. I kind of pride myself on finding good instruments for good prices. I also have a Yamaha FG800j acoustic made in China, and I would recommend any of these. Very happy with all of them. I understand the buy American argument, but I simply can’t afford American made. What I paid for each is; Godin 650-700, can’t remember, Gretsch 550, Tele 450, Slick 269, Yamaha 259. Good guitars can be found for under 1000, even under 500.

Ibanez , Cort, Yamaha , Bacchus, Genta, Killer Bee <br>Best buys : Fujigen Masterfield bought in Indo , 63% discount 🎉, Cherry red with h/case brand spanking new too. Covid era <br>Best Indo buys most of them , but especually Genta Padmi LP semi hollow , ( taken to NAMM Jan 2026) &amp; 12 string acoustic by Genta. Any of 6 yamaha revstar &amp; pacifica....all good
