  Hey Everyone! <br> <br>What I want to highlight in this video is: <br>There&apos;s may reasons why a home may be temporarily disconnected (with wires removed). Depending on your local procedures, it is ok in some cases to leave the wire on site. When the wire is left on site, it must not be left on the ground in any case and de-energized if the wire is coiled up and in contact with communication lines. If it is not a same day reconnect or does not yet have a scheduled reconnect in coming days, the wire should be completely removed. <br> <br>Be safe out there everyone! 👊🍻

  Our linemen in the Midwest have been busy with a ton of storm damage from tornadoes and ice. I really appreciate everything you guys do.   I&apos;m not a lineman but I have to agree it is a good practice to disconnect the wire even in a loop because there&apos;s no reason for it to be energized. Also, great policy not to leave the wires laying on the ground even if they are de-energized because people don&apos;t know and it could result in an unnecessary trip for downed wires<br>You are very safety conscious. That is an excellent trait that more people need to learn

  Several years ago, when I ran a new 200 amp service to my house, the lineman was very impressed by the fact that I invested in 4/0 copper all the way to my weatherhead. He also remarked about the quality of the work I did, even saying that if I wasn&apos;t a professional electrician that I should become one, since my work was better than some of the contractors he had seen.

  Establishing habits is definitely good practice.<br>An example of habits: &nbsp;I work with fire alarm panels and out of habit, w hen I&apos;m powering a panel down, the battery is always disconnected first and then the AC. &nbsp;When powering up, AC is reconnected first and then the battery. &nbsp;That&apos;s for my safety and the safety of the panel. &nbsp;(In that order!)<br><br>Thanks for the videos.

  I always appreciate your attention to safety. I&apos;m a supervisor technician in an industrial facility and while I&quot;m more junior than everyone I supervise, I try to place an emphasis on safety, and I really appreciate seeing someone who&apos;s been doing things for way longer than I have be so focused on doing things safely and carefully. Great video as always, love your content

  Always appreciate when the linemen show up at a fire. I have had many energized power lines drop while fighting a fire.

  I liked that you removed the electrical tape from the cables and the insulation from the roof. The &quot;little things matter&quot;. I&apos;ve done the same at many jobs and nobody cared. Clean up matters.

  LU 917 here. I am so ocd when it comes to cleaning up my job site. I have my apprentices picking up wire shavings all the time. And ur work truck looks like mine. Everything has its spot. I can’t stand dirty work trucks. I know right where all my stuff is. Digging for stuff is a day ruiner lol. Stay safe bro.
