  Despite being the same age as George Harrison, my late dad had very few original Beatles records. As he explained it, money was tight and The Beatles were never off the radio. Besides which, there was always somebody who had the latest LP willing to loan it for a taping.<br><br>The exception was Ticket To Ride. He bought it purely on the strength of hearing Yes It Is once on Radio Luxembourg and deciding it was the most beautiful thing he’d ever heard. His copy defies any Record Collector grading, having been played so much.

  I remember another explanation of this songs meaning, given by paul, was that it referring to the ticket of good health that prostitutes had to get in Hamburg and other gutters they spent time in as a band ... A &quot;ticket to ride&quot;

  I was 12 years old in 1965 and by listening to &apos;The Beatles&apos; I became interested in geography and wanted to visit some of the places the lads were going. That was my &apos;Ticket to Ride&apos;.

  She’s a Woman could also be considered Heavy Medal. How they play the song and how Paul sings it. She’s a Woman was recorded before Ticket to Ride so I would say that was the first heavy medal song

  Ringo created a drum pattern that STILL stuns other drummers to this day. One that can&apos;t be duplicated perfectly.
