Houston has a long history of using this model for success. It is how the Astrodome was built in the 1960's. How the Pierce Elevated, a massive freeway reconstruction project about 20 years ago, was completed early and under budget. It is how half a dozen less spectacular but just as daring projects have been done over the years. And it's something a lot of other cities and governments could learn from.

Plane service at Hobby resumed in 1970, with Southwest initiating service the following year.

We live in the Montrose area and prefer Hobby overall IAH. We usually use Delta. United is a large hub in Houston, but they don't take it seriously.

Used Hobby for the first time this year for a cruise, what a nice airport. Only thing that needs work is the food, tried 2 and it was bad

I love hobby airport, I avoid bush at all costs and will only fly with them if it’s absolutely necessary.
