Can we get Des Moines next? I'm looking to improve my gameplay and I believe a lesson from the great Herr Trenlass will help.

Shima guns are highly underrated. Super accurate, high alpha and you can pick your fights. They biggest liability is the hp pool. Torpedoes are med. Feast or famine.

Thanks for the video. I really appreciate and like your clean content.
Speaking as an experienced, but only slightly better than average skilled player...

You are not wrong about torpedo boat game impact. But I think you overstate it. You had an important impact in both of these matches. But it was not measured in damage or some other metric. But it was still strategically valuable for the team.
Torpedo boats tend to play a less adrenaline laced game style than gunboat DDs. I humbly suggest that there are some players that prefer the quieter strategy required of the torpedo DDs. And that has more to do with their boat choice than maximizing damage.
Spotting, mind games, sneakiness, longer timeframe tactics, positioning
These are valuable and fun and used differently than in gunboats.

One note on RPF. It fits into those tactics better than gunboat tactics. I acknowledge there are drawbacks to using it. But it could have helped you make better decisions in both of the matches in this video.

Trenlass, I freely admit that you are much more likely to win a match and to score higher than I am in any given match. But from a "fun" standpoint, I enjoy playing my Shimakaze with RPF. There are lots of us playing this game. And we each have different preferences and playing styles. That is different than saying some of us really suck. There should be room in this game for us all to enjoy it in different ways. Shoot! Some people even like playing CVs. (They are just horrible people unworthy of redemption. ;) )

Again, thank you for the content and your valuable educational videos.
