  I really loved this story … I am a very old lady now … have ALWAYS been an avid reader. <br>My mother was too. &nbsp;When I was a very young girl, my favorite place to go was the LIBRARY in our town.<br>The sweet librarian loved to tease me, saying that she thought I had read every single book in that library.<br>I read every category imaginable, really loved biographies of <br>people who were famous for many different things. <br>This love for reading stayed with me throughout the years … and I still read practically every single day … and I recently turned 79 years old … so thank Goodness for reading glasses !!!<br>Thanks for listening !!! 🙏📚

  My family have always been big readers, I had my first library card at 5, 68 years later I still have one. I couldn’t imagine a life without books.

  I&apos;ve been an avid reader all my life. Every 10 days (that&apos;s how long one could check out a book) my mother would take the four of us to the city library where we&apos;d spend the afternoon choosing books to check out for the next 10 days, and sitting on the carpeted floor in the aisle or on a chair at a wooden table. I loved the SRA reading program at my school, and in high school and college worked in the library. &nbsp;My research papers were built/written from having learned the card catalogues early on. &nbsp;I traveled the world and learned about culture long before I ever stepped into a plane - through the books. &nbsp;I instilled the same love for reading in my children, and have tried to instill it in my grandchildren. &nbsp;The family says that when I read stories aloud they become immersed in it. &nbsp;That is one of the greatest compliments I&apos;ve ever received!
