  They should have decorated that stairway for Christmas.  That would really have made a statement.  As is, the store looks under decorated to me.

  The best way to shop Fortnum&apos;s is on the internet - and especially at the sales, when the prices almost become reasonable (when compared to Waitrose or Marks and Sparks). When buying food, you need to choose carefully. Things like the jams and chutneys and curds end up being good value because I don&apos;t go through them as quickly as I do with other supermarkets&apos; stuff. You get a strong flavour hit, so you don&apos;t use as much and because of the fruit content, it keeps you filled up for longer. Similarly the biscuits. I was given a tin of those really tall chocolate covered ones for Christmas and I didn&apos;t finish them until February. I can go through a packet of chocolate digestives in two days, but the Fortnum ones were so substantial that you could just have one and not go back for another five minutes later.<br><br>Anyway, Hannah, loved this review. You made a &nbsp;lot of thoroughly sensible comments/criticisms.

  Used to work there and the Christmas displays were slaved over most of the year by some amazingly talented and dedicated people. The staff in general were a really cool bunch, especially cafeteria &amp; restaurant! Loved them there!
