Thank you for talking about this! We used to go to a church where the pastor's wife recommended Hearing God by Dallas Willard and even gave people copies of the book. I knew it wasnt good but I had no idea the extent of his beliefs. People need this information and your channel is doing great work for God's glory.

Thank you so much for this again Dave and Marcia I’m new to Jesus from the new age a friend who put me on to John mark comer, which I rejected his teachings as they sounded new age to me…then gave me the life with god bible, with Richard foster and Dallas Willard having contributed. I didn’t like it, now I know why. The Holy Spirit is guiding me and keeping me safe. I ask for the truth. Thank you again 🙏

Wow thank you for this. You have nailed it with terming his writings as confusing gas lighting. ‘Where you find selfish ambition and vain conceit there you will find disorder and every evil practice’.
I pray Willard’s writings will be further exposed. I’ve seen too many taken by it.
Thank you!

Thank you for posting this episode! I used to go to a church where they practiced spiritual formation (which included Willard’s teachings, as well as John Mark Comer, Richard Foster, John Ortberg among others). I left after 5 years and am now attending a healthier church where his teachings are disallowed. His teachings gave me PTSD per se.

I actually share more about that in the second episode of my testimony which you can find on YouTube. I’m definitely sharing this with my friends.

Thanks again brother and God bless you!

So helpful thank you for having this podcast and topic, our womens' Bible study is about to start a study called Relaxed written by Megan Fate Marshman I started looking into her more and she is a pastor at Arbor church in Long Beach and has a PHD in Spiritual formation and soulcare.😮 Our womens' ministry is heavily influenced by this movement and Dallas Willard is highly regarded. John Mark Comer was also introduced a few years ago. My conviction is after doing more research and listening to you that I will not participate in this study, need a study on Biblical discernment instead and looking for a differenr church but very hard in the coastal San Diego area🙏

thank you for this clear conversation, very clarifying. Is the imagination of hearing Gods voice a counterfeit "prophetic" ?

I have been attending a church in LA infected with this christian philosophy who often (today) quote Dallas Willard or have guest speakers such as John Mark Comer. Thank you for bringing awareness to these deceptive teachings that open a door to a spirit of error!
