7 Hotel Mistakes That Ruin European Trips After 50

Charming European hotels look incredible in the photos. But those photos don't show you the 48 stairs to your room, the broken elevator, or the air conditioning unit that doesn't exist. These are the hotel mistakes travelers over 50 regret most — and they're easy to avoid once you know what to look for. In this video, we share the 7 most common Europe hotel mistakes that can turn a beautiful trip into an exhausting one. After years of booking hotels across Europe, we've learned exactly what the photos leave out — and what questions to ask before you confirm your reservation. We cover: • Stairs, elevators, and mobility access • Air conditioning (the one thing Americans assume is standard) • Room size and bathroom layout • How "historic charm" can come at the cost of your comfort • Location mistakes that add daily stress and wasted time • Transportation access and how far you really are from everything • What "character" really means for your sleep, your back, and your energy These are the practical things nobody warns you about until you've already landed and you're staring at your luggage at the bottom of a winding staircase. 👇 Drop a comment with a hotel mistake you've made in Europe — let's help each other avoid the same ones.
