We had a 1975 Uni 705 with the 478 GM V-6 diese of 120 HPl ,it had the 767 chopper with both corn & windrow hay heads ,We filled our 2 silos & then custom filled 20 -25 silos for others in the area ,we then switched to the 727 husking bed & when the ear corn cribs were filled for us & some neighbors we switched to the 729A sheller to finish up all on wide rows, I learned the 1'st year to make magic marker notes on everything as to which belts & tensioners went with what unit ,I could do the switch in just a couple of hours max ,I ran that 705 Uni 21 years tell I retired from dairy farming . The uni concept originated with Minneapolis Moline company in the 50's ,Theirs was powered by a M&M V-4 liquid cooled engine ,Thats all I remember about them as I was just 10 years old at the time & I remember a neighbor having one with a combine & nothing else .
