  Farm engineering at it&apos;s finest. Everyone else is talking football. You guys are helping a farmer decide if his equipment can be repaired to finish his harvest. What a heavy load.<br>Thanks Sam, you&apos;re the right man to call when a terrible thing like this happens.

  It never fails to amaze me how some machines are poorly designed for actual farming, Maine is hard on farming lots of rock and temperature swings, the farmers up here are quite smart at working with it but things do happen and metal fatigues. Nice work all involved.

  To steer a dead combine the easy way, make up a two hydraulic hoses to run from the tractor scv to the steering cylinders. Connect the temporary hoses to the combine hoses where they attach to the combine and use the tractor to simultaneously pull and steer the combine. &nbsp;Super easy! &nbsp;I did this all the time whenever a combine would have engine or other trouble and needed towed out to the road so I could load it on my RGN trailer to haul to the dealership. &nbsp;This trick also works for articulated 4WD tractors as well.
