  During the blitz (the constant bombing of London) a shop had it&apos;s frontage blown off, the shop owner put a sign up the very next day ready &quot;we&apos;re open but more open than usual&quot;, you can&apos;t beat the British sense of humour 👍

  Another thing that pisses me off is the film U571 which completely rewrote history and had the yanks capturing the enigma machine from the German sub U571 when it was in fact captured by us Brits from the U110 before those bloody yanks had even entered ww2!

  New Zealander here, &nbsp;very proud of Nz and the Common Wealths contribution to the Battle , Vice Marshall Sir Keith Park hero controller of 11 group , even flew a couple of combat missions

  An old family friend, Wally D&apos;ath was a Spitfire pilot and told that almost always before taking off during the battle of Britain, he used to vomit. He had some victories, which saddened him, and never knew how he survived having been shot up and parachuting into the channel on one occasion and without undercarriage.on another. He was a remarkable and humble man, an English gentleman, a gentle-man. God bless him and all who served and saved the world from the madness.
