I heard one time, “when you grocery shop, just add five cans of food (whatever you need or want), to your food budget”. <br>So, l did that, & l was surprised how quickly my pantry started to fill up.<br>And l am still doing that to this day. <br>This can be gentle on your budget if you don’t have enough money.

I made a prepping trip to Dollar Tree a few days ago, but didn't know to look for sterno and emergency candles. I'll definitely look for those next time. One thing I bought that you didn't mention was disposable, full-size, no rinse washcloths: 18 for $1.25.

Ive been thinking of adding preparedness into my homeschooling. Think it'd be priceless and smart going forward for my kids. Its about survival.<br>My almost 20 yr old in college preps along with me. My 12 yr old is currently learning with me. My 21 yr old, not into it.

My Dollar Tree preps include: matches, dry lentils, crackers, spices, canned proteins, rice, noodles, plain popcorn, hard candies,<br>water, canned fruit, trash bags, ziploc bags, plastic containers, kleenex, soaps of all types, first aid and oral hygiene. These are my go to items I prioritize once a month. I occasionally purchase some household cleaners, paper plates/cutlery and the scrub buddy sponges.
