If you loved this one, check out their song "Lola"!

‘You Really Got Me’ was ahead of its time. There weren’t many songs as hard as that in 1964.

"Lola" is essential Kinks. "Come Dancing" and "All Day and All Night" are great tunes as well. The kinks were pretty diverse in their sounds.

Forget Lola. Waterloo Sunset is not only their greatest song, it's one of the most beautiful songs ever written.

A truely inflluencial song in music history. This is 1964, power cords and a great song writer.

That fuzzy guitar effect was caused by Ray Davies' brother Dave, who slashed the amp speaker with a knife.

Part of the original British Invasion bands of 1964. The Kinks are known as the "grandfather of punk". Many of their songs are comical or tongue-in-cheek such as Lola, Come Dancing or Sunny Afternoon. Van Halen did an awesome cover of this song on their debut album in 1978. 😊
