  note that in the books for "I am Legend" the vampires aren't the monsters they're the new dominate species of Earth and the human character is the "monster" they're the ones running and hiding from him

  Dracula/Alucard from the castlevania games as well as Vampire Hunter D are probably top tier.

  In the last book of The Vampire Chronicles, Lestat was crowned as the monarch of all vampires. He is by far the strongest vampire in all vampire fiction.<br>Besides his strength, with which he can punch through brickwalls and lift over a ton, he is so fast that not even other vampires can see him move (an average vampire in this universe is fast enough that they can run through a crowded street without humans noticing them except for the windtrail they leave behind; they can sit right across from a human, pretending to eat a meal while flicking the food away from their fork without the human noticing it).<br>His eyes are violet and naturally hypnotic; he wears sunglasses around humans so that they arent enthralled accidentally.<br>He has the Mind Gift, which he can use in more ways than any other vampire; telepathy, telekinesis, pyrokinesis, astral projection and a preternatural ability to learn new skills.<br>He has the Cloud Gift, which enables him to fly to the edge of space and across oceans and continents in mere minutes.<br>He is nearly impervious to sunlight; he tried to end himself in the Gobi desert once and took the full blast of the sun for three days. All it did was give him a bad sunburn which healed into a nice tan.<br>His fingernails look like glass, but are as hard as diamonds, his muscles are like organic marble and although it can be cut and severed, it will heal in time simply by sewing it back together. No bigger worry to him than a broken wrist is for humans.<br>He is not effected by cold, even extreme subzero temperatures, and he does not need to breathe; he could, theoretically, survive in space.<br>He can also amplify his vocal volume to eardrum-shattering levels; when he became a rockstar he sang for an audience of several thousand people without using a microphone.<br>Fire, which is the definitive end for most other vampires, only char his body for a few weeks.<br><br>The reason why he is this powerful despite being only 230-ish years old is because his maker Magnus had never made another vampire. So his 250 years old blood was powerful enough to make Lestat stronger than the then 400 years older Armand. In other words, he had OP stats immediately.<br>Lestat has drunk the blood of some of the most ancient vampires in history, most noteably Marius (1000 years old the first time) Akasha (6000 years old; the original vampire) and Maharet (6000 years old; from the First Brood of vampires). Drinking the blood of other powerful vampires amplifies the drinkers powers permanently. The effect stacks like powerful perma-buffs.<br>In Memnoch The Devil, there is a timetravel scene, where Memnoch (Lucifer) takes Lestat back to when Jesus was about to be crucified and he told Lestat to drink from him (which he did).<br>But this being, claiming to be Lucifer, was never confirmed to be the actual Devil and may have been an entity with vast psychic powers just fucking with Lestats mind.<br><br>This is why not even Dracula himself would stand a chance against Lestat de Lioncourt, King of the vampires.

  If you’re counting all source material then Lestat is the most powerful vampire. The dude is the Superman of vampires. He tried to fly into the Sun to end his existence but all it did was give him a very bad sunburn, lol. Not only does he have the blood of Akasha flowing through him but Jesus’s as well! &nbsp;You could beat Lestat mentally (like what almost happened in Tale of the Body Thief) but physically? Nope.
