I saw someone say "The new show spends way too much time clipfarming", and I couldn't agree more

They’re missing the clever, snarky wit of the original. The use less wordplay, similes, and Gumballisms, and more “random and loud = funny” humor. The characters are a lot nicer

My issue is that it's so fast-paced now that they feel like a quarter of one of the original episodes

The lack of subtly kinda bothered me

One thing in this new show i didnt like was how they started overusing the "Funny" faces, it felt like it got spongebob-ified

Glad people are critiquing the new series instead of just glazing it felt like i was going crazy for seeing the many flaws these seasons have.

I feel like they're pushing the extremes in both animations and weirdness because they're no longer restricted by cartoon network

My biggest pet peeve is Anais tbh, what happened to her? It feels like they regressed her so younger girls would relate, but they butched her character in many ways, and the show knew how to make her kid-like without infantilizing her too much... Did they forget she's probably the smartest Watterson? Because now she's just a female sitcom child character.

Glad I’m not the only one who found that separate rooms episode weird and uncomfortable as hell

For me it's the setups and jokes. The jokes are super in your face like they are trying to make every joke memorable, but all it does is make the show feel extra and expected. Everything also felt very rushed and there was no time to let a joke get set up or burn, once a joke was said, they moved on. Same goes with the wild expressions

I feel like it's like this because it seems to have become much more performative. Putting in meme references just so people notice them rather than actually adding humor.
