  Can trace my lineage back to 1066 as I’m related to the past Queen Mother. Someone who was born here but whose parents were Middle Eastern and raised this person with their imported customs, tried to tell me that they were as British as me. Don’t think so mate 😅

  English is an ethnicity, not an accent or customs, which vary greatly as do "values" which have changed over the centuries. To be English is to be born of 2 English parents. That is a fact. It's not an ideology. A nation is it's people, derived from the latin "natio" meaning breed or birth, which is also where natal and native come from. A nation is literally a people connected by birth. England is named after the English

  Guess 'My Heritage' lied to me when the told me I am 97.2 per cent English. Should I sue them? Although I was born in Australia I go back 9 generations (probably more), all English.

  It’s not that complicated you have English, Welsh, Scottish and northern Irish ethnicities and when we refer to British we just refer to us as a whole on the British isles as as countries coming together that’s it. If you come from another country your a British citizen, and if they have children born in the UK with non of those ethnicities of the British isles then they would be just British Citizens born in Britain don’t change their DNA.
