I love when a professional game dev reviews what other indie developers have been working on, specially if the professional is kinda famous, because it allows the smaller indie developers to be known by more people.
Hopefully, I will eventually get in one of these streams soon with A Game About Puzzles.

@tethergeist developer its okay if you game has mechanics in other games (referencing shovel's comment about silksong getting that mechanic first). we as gamers are always looking for fresh iterations on beloved formulas.

I hate showing unfinished projects to people because they often can't see past the fact that it is unfinished and complain about missing graphics, unbalanced play, missing features, and so on. It is nice to see IS being understanding and empathetic towards developers who have put their hearts and souls into a game. He obviously knows how much an unkind word can sting, and carefully chooses his words.

Feels so good to rewatch your playthrough of Lumina Noctis. Loved all the 'a-ha!' momentes. All the feedback very valid (especially the shadow - how did I miss it...). Who knows maybe if the day comes the project can be revived and the feedback can be applied! Thank you! Keep up the amazing work you are doing!

The ending of One Mistake had some serious Adventure Time existentialism in there

For Lumina Noctis. Great level design. With the player being a more basic dude, who changes the environment to get places rather than to get abilities to interact with existing things in the evironment you also have a great and more unique concept. really reminds me of Portal. With that in mind, the light potion kinda sucks. It does nothing on its own and everything it does interact with feels like it's placed to give the potion a purpose rather than something engaging. In a platformer, I'd want a platforming tool as a first ability. I think the light potion is much better suited as a later ability when you get to a more hostile environment you could cleanse for a time with other potions not working on infected surfaces or something. You could even make that the whole final act. First you search for ingredients or the recipe to get that potion which would allow you to enter the infected area, that you could also make the entrance to be really close to the start. Similar to how Spyro: a heros tail has in it's hub area

1:00:30 I like that you can move again as soon as you touch ground so you can make quick saves like that. That’s one thing that makes jump king extra hard is that you have to wait until you fully stop. I think this mechanic for this game keeps it right in its lane of being that sort of game but a little safer
