  Just because we don't decorate our houses with flags doesn't mean it's illegal. Unlike this lady we remember which country we live in without having to check the flag first.

  Other countries don't treat their flag as disrespectfully as Americans do. Americans slap their flag on everything—on cushions they squash with their backsides, on the bedsheets they sleep in, and on the clothes they wear; they even have the flag as underwear... They cheapen and degrade their flag in every conceivable way. And then they call the whole thing patriotism.

  I&apos;m British and I don&apos;t wave a flag for a few reasons.<br>1. I know what country I&apos;m in, England.<br>2. I don&apos;t need one to act as a comfort blanket.<br>3. I don&apos;t feel like it.<br>4. I&apos;m not in a cult.

  Most of us stopped laughing at the USA ages ago. Now we&apos;re just sighing, occasionally facepalming, and moving on. Seriously, for the majority of us older people in particular, it&apos;s depressing that the country we looked up to during the Apollo era has gone beyond turning itself into a laughing stock into a place to be pitied because of the lack of education.
