Yeah. The Tale of Iroh is perhaps the best 5 minutes this show has to offer, which is saying something, because it's a very good show.

As a parent who lost a child even after trying everything. 7 doctors, 3 specialists, and a whole team of Mayo Clinic's finest. Literally everything. So iroh wishing his son a happy birthday and saying "if only I could have helped YOU,"😢😢 will never NOT make me tear up. 🥺🥺

Iroh saying "if only I could have helped you" never fails to make me cry despite the dozens of times I've watched atla. I'm sure a lot of us can relate to that statement, even if you're not a parent. Carrying an immense amount of guilt, enough to alter who you are and how you show up for other people

I'd like to point something out. Did you notice what Iroh spent the entire day doing? He spent his son's entire birthday being like a father figure to multiple children and young men. Like he would've if his son were still alive. He did that with the citizens of the city that took his son from him. Such a good man.
