  Amy's talked consistently about how her vision from the start was ALWAYS to combine classical, electronic and metal/rock. She is all three and always has been, and in my opinion this album is the clearest and most distilled example of her exploring and combining these three genres.

  3 hours dedicated to The Open Door. Holy Hell! This is a special one. Thank you for this, man. ❤ This is a bittersweet album. Cause they'll probably never top it.

  Good Enough was a song dedicated to her now husband Josh Hartzler, someone kinda said to Amy in the past she was unable to writte a happy song in major chords, and she not only had this internal fight of wanting to do a very different song but she dedicated this song to Josh whom was his boyfriend after Shaun Morgan toxic relationship ended... he was only her boyfriend but there is a hint in the lyrics that she would not be able to say no to whatever he asks to her, hinting she would say yes if he asks her to marry her, and he did, and they got married in 2007. So on purpose she wanted to end with a calmer happier note, coming from an album that had maany dark feelings, the last song serves as a way to end that chapter in a way to say, yes I come from all this but now, I'm good, I'm finally able to let go to be able to be happier and be able to fall in love with someone that really cared for her.

  I love Fallen but when I discovered The Open Door and heard Lacrymosa, Lose Control and Your Star the first time... I was blown away

  I freaking LOVE this masterpiece of an album. So underrated and misunderstood by the industry. It should have won many awards and recognitions

  The guy who referred to the Mandela effect on the Lacrymosa track was actually right. There is a version of this song on an album called Synthesis, and at the end, Amy closes it with a very high note
