  The British government hated the rave culture because everyone stopped drinking alcohol which is highly taxed in the  uk! MDMA broke down barriers rich poor and all races and colours joined in unity 🥰🫂♥️🎧🎛️🎶🎵 our governments hate unity of the masses! 😁♥️

  I left school in 1987 and this was the world we partied in. Believe me, being a young person then in the U.K, who loved music and dancing,it was world changing. Looking back now with the wisdom of age, you realise this was a self sustaining subculture that altered society. Ideas of class, gender, sexuality, of race and most importantly, for some of us, it broadened our horizons and inspired us to dream, to have hope about what we as a group and as individuals could do in our lives. it was a truly incredible time that probably will never be repeated ( but i hope i'm wrong!). 87 - 93 🙂

  The underground scene is still going strong. Those big commercial dance events are a separate thing with a totally different atmosphere.

  The government tried everything for years to end football hooliganism, and then along came ecstasy to end 95% of it overnight. It also put an end to a lot of violence in pubs and nightclubs, the only thing they didn&apos;t like was the fact they weren&apos;t earning money from taxing social drugs. Also if it hadn&apos;t been for Ecstasy/MDMA they&apos;d need hundreds more police in town centres every weekend to stop the violent drinking culture, what&apos;s not to like about it! After being involved in both sides of the coin since the early eighties I can assure you those times were a total game changer. And as for sex on ecstacy, wow 😯😂
