  Other things that apply to everyone: don’t be too loud, even if you’re a group of friends; in a restaurant or bus/subway don’t play YouTube videos or music out loud …. Keep it to yourself; &nbsp;don’t make noise in buildings/home after 10 p.m … other people have the right to sleep. You might notice a theme here 😊

  Ohhhh and another one...... on the beach, no loud radios and music. Common courtesy 😊 we don&apos;t all share the same music taste, and we want to enjoy the beach in peace ❤

  You’ve nailed some of the most important stuff. However, the “people don’t swear in public” does not apply to people from the northern part of the country.<br>It’s one of the funniest things here:<br>If you swear with a northern accent, it’s fine. If you swear with any other accent, you’re done. 😂

  You mentioned taking off hats when at the table, but here (at least for me that am portuguese) I was thought that we should take off hats when entering any building, so being with any hat indoors is seen as disrespectful<br><br>Yes I&apos;ve seen people doing it, but it&apos;s just as I was thought and everyone around me has the same etiquette :)

  As a portuguese from the Algarve I must say, great stuff! I`ll add something: Politeness specifically towards the elderly earns you extra points. If you have small kids or teens, them already showing that politeness, like the &quot;obrigado&quot;, &quot;se faz favor&quot;, &quot;posso sair da mesa por favor&quot;, &quot;peço desculpa&quot;, it goes a long way showing what you prioritize as a father/educator.

  Outras coisinhas que facilitam a vida: Se for convidado para jantar numa casa de um português e ele insistir para não levar nada, leve vinho, sobremesa, chocolate. Se insistir para se sentar na mesa e esperar pelo jantar, levante-se e ajude a colocar a mesa. Quando acabar de comer ajude a limpar a mesa, apesar de insistirem para estar sentado. (os portugueses mentem ... mas aproveite para marcar pontos) Nunca comece a comer antes de todos estarem sentados e começarem a comer. Se tiver de atender o telemovel (num caso de morte) peça muita desculpa e volte logo. O fim da comida não é o fim do jantar, fique na mesa e converse (mas acho que isso já entendeu).
