Forget the critics. Maybe they meant well, wanting your channel to "go viral". But you keep doing it the way you are. You're honest, and you don't hide the inconvenient or weird parts. You're a real person, not some fake instagram influencer. Your channel will grow as it grows, in its own time.

Don't listen to the commenters who're trying to get you to make your channel all flash and no substance. I love how informative and straightfoward your slice-of-life videos are. I'm also middle-aged, and among the many Japanese vlogs I'm subbed to, yours is the most relatable. Keep growing your channel at your own pace, on your own terms. You're doing great!

Those kind of comments are why some people don't start their youtube, when did sharing stuff about someone's life become a beauty pageant? I'm truly glad I found your channel as I'm in a place where I thought there's nothing I can't do coz of my age.
