  She arranged the song based on the original song by Brian Kennedy. All the lyrics she sings are the same as the original song. It is not a mash-up. What is surprising is that Brendan Graham, the lyricist of the original song, was so impressed by Sohyang's performance that he contacted the Korean embassy to ask about her. What is more surprising is that she was suffering from pneumonia at the time. Her fans were heartbroken that she had suffered from pneumonia for many years. I am in awe of her for giving such an amazing performance nonetheless. By the way, thank you for your reaction! I really enjoyed it :)

  She had pneumonia then. She thought maybe it was her last stage. Pneumonia that recurred 8 times kept her in the wilderness. Enjoyed it. Thanks.

  Nick, This is your second Sohyang Stage performance. It is unfortunate that you struggled with this arrangement. Your expectations stole much from your appreciation of the performance. <br>Warning! Do not expect a Sohyang Cover to be a Copy. She is a musical genius. She designs the musical arrangement, chorus, orchestra, and Staging for all of her Live performances. So, yes, you are seeing every bit of her genius in all of these performances, such as the brilliant Arrangement &amp; Staging that you saw here and in &apos;Bridge over Troubled Water&apos;. <br>This ranks among Sohyang&apos;s top TV appearances. It is outstanding for a special reason - she was just recovering from a bout with Pneumonia and this performance had been scheduled for some time. She was cautioned to not sing, but Sohyang did not want to disappoint her fans and Shane Filan. So, the great lady walked onto the stage and this masterpiece happened. <br>Shane Filan is the gentleman shown in the video. His British group &apos;Westlife&apos; actually had the first Hit Single of this song not Josh Groban. <br>Keep going - there is a river of Sohyang gold. <br>Cheers.

  You just wanted to hear her vocals while staying way more faithful to the original track, didn&apos;t you? I get that but that show’s whole thing is pros battling it out with their own arrangements and singing to decide the weekly winner, and for viewers who love it when both the song and the singer feel completely fresh and transformed, it’s honestly the best show out there. For me personally, the original was so boring I didn’t even listen to it three full times, but ever since she sang that version, I’m just down to play it and enjoy it. She was obviously insane even in serious illness but the stage lighting, outfit, camera work, the band, the backup vocals.. everything was so freaking good, it’s a feast for both your eyes and ears, right?

  This was my favourite performance of hers for years. What you might not know is that she was recovering from pneumonia here. Apart from a couple of cracks in her voice and the white tongue you would never know.
