SpankRanchGarage built an ingenious water separator for hydraulic oil from an old air compressor tank. He used a vacuum pump so the fluid would boil at a low temperature. Then he could run the same fluid through a couple times until all the water was out of the system before putting new oil in. Worth taking a look
