It's always amazing how a small job can spiral very quickly into a nightmare. This one very quickly changed. Nice cheap repair and a nice machine.

The struggle bus is real, especially working on equipment, I liked the "Pakistani Pump" reference, I watch those guys Pakistani Truck Repair, they do some crazy stuff lol

That's why I always try to have at least the parts diagrams that show the order of parts that go in. Especially on things like transmissions with a bunch of gears and shims and synchros and whatnot that go on a common shaft. It's easy to misorder stuff. Good job figuring it out Frank.
