  I really wish the horror genre was more respected in the film and award industry. It really pisses me off that actresses like Sophie Wilde, Mia Goth, Rebecca Hall, Lupita N’yongo, and Toni Collette are not recognized by the awards industry just because the films that they thrived in were horror films. Anyways, the Philippou brothers and the film’s cast should be very proud of their work in this heartbreakingly beautiful horror movie.

  It's heavily implied dad didn't survive, since the elevator he entered was going up it seems like he's going to heaven or the afterlife. Meanwhile Mia's trapped with the rest of the ghosts attached to this hand. It's real grim.

  a detail that i didn't notice until pointed out is when they question if they blew out the candle for riley, and when you rewatch the scene, you realize that no they didn't

  The thing that freaks me out about this movie is how insane the premise is but it still feels relatable to anyone going through grieving and the desperation to see them again or to feel anything but sadness they’re feeling

  While watching this, (whether intentionally done or not) the idea that Mia dies in such an ambiguous way (did she step out into the road or was she pushed?) is such a sad parallel with her mother. Whether anyone else knew the truth of her mother's death doesn't matter, only that you're forced into the same mindset that Mia's been in for the last two years. Great movie and great reaction! ❤😊

  This is such a fascinating movie, especially on a rewatch. The sound design is impeccable and really clues you in to how Mia never actually spoke with her mom. The water sounds always symbolize the spirit that she originally let in. They have seen inside Mia’s head and know what to say that will allow them more time to inhabit the bodies. These spirits are all a collective of who has been claimed by the hand. Her mom wouldn’t be a part of them and also would never want Riley hurt. Such intentional filmmaking and good storytelling. These guys really hit it out of the park.

  I know that Mia was the one who agreed to let Riley do it, but it honestly didn&apos;t seem fair to me that everyone kept blaming her the whole thing. It was Jades house, it was jades brother, she invited them to bring the hand to do it, Jade left Riley alone in a room full of people she watched having fun doing it multiple times when she knew he really wanted to try it, Yes it was Mia who agreed but it just bugs me that not one person in the entire movie took responsibility and all piled on Mia choosing to solely blame her

  Okay but Talk to Me was the first horror movie in a long time that actually has a premise that terrifies me. Just thinking about it is horrific.

  In regards to the injured kangaroo at the beginning, there are wildlife rescue&apos;s you can call who will come assess the animal and check the pouch.

  It is rare that I can enjoy a movie if I spend the entire thing shaking my head and disagree with every decision that every character makes, but I did 😭
