Incredible video. I have been around construction for 40+ years and have always used 3, 4, 5 or sin, cos, tan to calculate that length out. It never crossed my mind to lay out a rafter beam like that. Incredible. I’m new to a timber framing and owning a mill. Your channel has been a wealth of knowledge to me. I get up on Saturday mornings like a kid ready to watch the newest cartoons. Thank you guys so much for taking the additional time to document end explain how you are doing things in order for those like me to learn. We appreciate it.

Loved watching you guys working on this beam rafter. I really love your tools that you used. Having the correct tools makes your days more enjoyable to work with your wood and I subscribed to this channel before, but YouTube has been turning off Alot of people and we have to to go back and subscribe to those channels again, this was one of the many I've had to redo. So everyone reading, think about the channels you watched before and if you can not see them you might need to do a search for them and subscribe to them again. I am up to 11 counting this one.

I have learned more from these videos in a few weeks than all the timber frame videos that I have watched over the last couple of years combined. What a great resource! Your no nonsense approach has given me the confidence to start my first timber frame project as soon as it warms up a little, disregarding the fact I am 66 years old and a one man show. Your channel has been the confidence builder I needed to at least make the attempt. Thanks you two!

I’d like to hang out with my wife watching two guys movies but I don’t think she’d like that as much as me. 😂

Hey guys another great vid, and quite timely as I was just on the phone to another retired contractor talking about a new roof for my existing cabin. Can you believe it's pouring rain here tonight, should be about 0 degrees F here, have a good one fellas.
