  Canadian here. I live 45 minutes from the boarder. Not a chance in hell I&apos;m crossing it.

  I&apos;m an Australian. I live in a country that is safe, free and prosperous. No, we&apos;re not perfect. But we don&apos;t have gangs of masked Gestapo thugs roaming the streets. We would not tolerate innocent citizens being shot in the face. We wouldn&apos;t even tolerate the not-so-innocent being shot in the face. <br>Our children go to school and then come home safely because we don&apos;t an insane gun obsession. Neither do our children have to practice school shooter drills or pass through metal detectors. <br>Our police don&apos;t have to unholster their sidearms when approaching vehicles, because they just don&apos;t need to. <br>When tourists come here we don&apos;t invade their privacy and look at their social media history. We don&apos;t randomly lock up innocent people without due process simply because of the colour of their skin. <br>We don&apos;t invade other countries in order to satisfy greed for oil. We don&apos;t invade other countries at all. And we don&apos;t threaten to invade them. While we are fiercely proud of our country we also learn about other nations and cultures and are able to respect them. We don&apos;t wear ignorance as a badge of honour.<br>Australia is a peaceful nation. America is not. America is seen as greedy, racist, entitled, aggressive warmongers. Led by a narcisisstic, tangerine face, convicted criminal and sexual predator who is rapidly becoming one of the world&apos;s worst dictators and dragging the world into war. Greenland is not yours to take. Venezuala is not yours to take. Mexico is not yours to take. Canada is not yours to take. <br>Now, I wonder why tourists don&apos;t want to go to the US?

  Dude, it is not that it doesn&apos;t feel safe - it is the fact that it is NOT safe, and it keeps getting more and more unsafe.

  I am a Swede who spent the holidays in Chile. When booking I could fly via connecting flight in the USA. I chose to fly via Spain instead despite it being approx. 2000 USD more expensive. You avoid the US at all costs.
