  as an engineer of 48 years boilers I personally dislike Ferolli, Ariston, Biasi, Alpha, Chaffeteaux, Ravenheat, Saunier Duvall, Halstead, HArvey Haybridge, Vokera, ELM Leblanc, Heat Line are all bad.  There are others that have had a bumpy road in the past 20 years with dips in reliability but are now coming good again such as Ideal, Glow worm and Baxi then you have the most popular and in my  experience most reliable are Vaillant and Worcester Bosch on a personal note I do not like Intergas boilers  with seals needing regualr changes and Wiessman which has a very annoying interface and poor condensate trap seal on older models.

  Had an Ideal for 28 years in a 4 bedroom detached with 15 radiators and a hot water tank. Never been serviced. Regularly treated the CH water with Fernox. The only problem surfaced about 10 years ago when a pressure test of the gas system after a Smart meter replacement had shown a just out of limit pressure drop traced to the boiler's gas valve. Replaced it for £120. Clean flame burn in the sight window, pilot light has never gone out, no kettle noises and no fume or water leaks.

  No mention here of INTERGAS boilers, made in Holland. Dual Circuit heat exchangers mean that a problematic diverter valve is not necessary. Only problem I've had in 11 years, is a circuit board defect

  I had a 24kw potterton neataheat system boiler for about 20 years. Then the cobi boiler was invented. I replaced the potterton with a 24kw Bisi combi boiler, that ran for 12 years problem free exept the dhw heat ex would scale up and required a descale. Then the magnaclean was invented, scale problem solved. Ater 12 years problem free, the condensing combi came along so in the interest of economy I changed for a Bisi condensing combi . In 19 years, I've never had one problem. When this one packs up I'll go for the latest Biasi.

  I have a baxi 630 boiler it was commitioned on 11/2/2019 and it has never let us down.<br> &nbsp;I live in risca south wales.

  Sorry but when a boiler fails within 4 months, you do not buy another one. &nbsp;You reject it and if required get trading standards involved. &nbsp;Are you really sure about that preface story??

  Really surprising - no end of problems with Worcester Bosch and so many call outs for repairs. That said I don’t think it was a Greenwood or whatever it’s called. Got it ripped out in the end for a Vallient

  Had a glow worm boiler with a pilot light from the 70&apos;s, it got a problem which could have been fixed but it was so energy inefficient, ripped it out for a new Glow Worm condensing heat only. It has been running 2 years on the old pump/radiators/tank and no problems. As long as it lasts 10 years then its ok as by then probably no gas allowed anyways...........

  I feel ripped off. Baxi maine for more than £3000 but unlike the old gloworm, does not have preheat and wastes so much water waiting for hot to reach taps. I expected like for like, not something that is not as good for that reason.

  Vailant ecofit pure 830 &nbsp;lousy installation from Vailant approved installation. failes every year, internal particle filter hidden inside the unit difficult to remove clean or rep also PCB main cause. parts ready available from ebay. all approvals are with stainless heat exchanger not the alloy ones fitted in UK. Previous had Gloworm cast iron boiler smaller very very reliable. than Vailant who took them over then put a gloworm badge on vailant product.
