Some flags represent a religion <br>Some flags represent a crown <br>Some flags represent government <br>The American Flag is different. It represents the American people. All of those that live with it and the one's that have died for it.

It isn't just about the flag the point is if the flag wasn't flying that would mean our Country had fallen that is why they wanted to know if the flag was still flying

The stripes represent the original 13 colonies and the stars represent the current states and increases when we get a new state. The star spangled banner was written during the war of 1812 which is why there are 15 stars

The Fort McHenry flag is still housed at the Smithsonian. You can find pictures online. What's left of it anyways.
