  As a guy that has been around high performance, open header air cooled VWs for like 35 years, that 100% sounds like a VW.

  The fact that you could have just thrown a motorcycle engine or a vw flat engine or anything, but instead whipped up a custom predator i4, fabricated a badass header and exhaust, makes it 300x more entertaining and shows your skills learned from all the other builds. This go kart is an absolute beast and I can’t wait to see what else you guys do to it. Personally I’d kill to see you guys slap together some sort of suspension. Shoot you can use old valve springs and throw them on the spindles to give you a bit of cushion for the front end. Keep up the good work !

  The best sounding exhaust i had on a Kart, was something i made as a joke.  I had an old aluminum baseball bat, that was damaged, All the corking and insides were falling out. So i pried them the rest of the way out, and cut the flange off at the bottom of the handle, and then just shoved it in the exhaust port of a 5.5HP Briggs. That's it.  That thing sounded Nasty. And it was just something i did as a joke screwing around in the garage. It took all of 30 seconds to make it, and i just shoved it in the whole and it stayed there. LOL!!   It was pretty hilarious. After about 20 mins the thin walled aluminum started to melt and it fell off. But for that 20 mins, that was the best sounding Briggs i ever heard. LOL!!!  I've always wanted to replicate it with a stronger material. But the problem is both the weight, and i don't have the equipment to machine something like that. But that hollowed out baseball bat, made a hell of a noise. You should try it sometime, Ya know. Just for fun. :)
