It was there that he met his future wife. He grew so fond of Poland that—despite a very generous offer from Russia, a volleyball powerhouse at the time—he declined it, obtained Polish citizenship, and joined the Polish national team; he became a key pillar of the squad and played a major role in its many successes.

  Poland doesn&apos;t have to worry if a star volleyball player gets injured, because the country could easily field three top-tier teams for the championships—to the point where we might even see an all-Polish final. Our coach often brings new players into the squad and gradually integrates them into the starting lineup.

  Nawet na koloniach czy na turnusach rehabilitacyjnych w latach 80-tych grało się w siatkówkę i to było coś na co czekało się aby wyjść na świerze powietrze i pograć.
