Great advice from joel. Read his books. They will teach you things you need to know and some you may not want to know. We joke at home one book should be called " you can farm... but you probably shouldn't ". His approach is a no nonsense and 0 romance . He is a brilliant man .

Don't retire -- I wanted a life that I didn't HAVE TO retire from => that is FARMING!!! Who did they make disappear? Farmers ... North American wealth is built on farmers => 93% down to 3% now if that. The least you can do is garden ... it's the cheapest thing to do and you grow food!!!
