How I Became a Full-Time Creator by Posting 1 Video a Month

From the perspective of another full time todd-slop creator, this video is PURE FACTS. Listen up and take notes, bro is giving away the sauce for free. And NEVER cheap out on a microphone, people can watch a video with bad visual quality/low bitrate, but NOBODY will watch a video with bad audio. Also just start posting consistently, set upload goals for yourself with the time you have available and stick to a routine. Creating a catalog of videos that people can watch at all times is incredibly important and consistent uploads will help you create this catalog faster.

This is the first youtube video I've watched where the creator ACTUALLY seems to understand what they're talking about. How is it that decades of Youtube gurus get it all wrong, and then some random purple goop dog guy has all the answers.

Admittedly not interested in getting into the content space, but watching all the way through nonetheless to support my favorite gooey dog

Just be as dedicated and passionate as this man and you "might" be successful on YouTube. That is why I watch every video from this guy! Thank you Magoo. Keep up the great work!

As someone who is about 3.5 years into a channel, only posts ~1 video a month, has close to 100k subscribers, and works a full-time job, this was a very cool video to listen to. I think it's really important that people realize you don't need to be in your early twenties with 1 million subscribers to have a chance at "living this life." It's alot of work like any job, there are seasonal ups and downs, and you need to be prepared to take risks. On top of that, you need to be prepared to put in "unpaid time" at the start (if you're doing something you enjoy this should be relatively easy!), focus on intentional/incremental improvements every video, and of course, get a little lucky. If you can be consistent and keep your focus on getting better at creating content, the rest should come with time

17:58 -- this is probably the most common advice I see when it comes to writing, especially in fan spaces. Don't write for an audience, write for yourself. You're the only person who's going to truly and fully appreciate your own stories, so write them with yourself as the audience. If and when you gain a following, that's exciting because you get to see your work loved by others. But you should love it the most and you should love it first.

I'm only 5 minutes into this video, and I've already formed an opinion: If you are an aspiring content creator I believe you would be doing well to pay attention to what magoodog is saying here. This advice from him is VERY good.
