The best is the one thats on sale. Changing oil on time is 10 times more important than the brand.

Not changing the filter is pretty cheap. You already have to get under the truck to pull the drain plug. Just stay under there and change the filter.

I just started using Valvoline Restore & Protect and in my opinion this oil is superior in cleaning the engine than other oils. FordBossme says 3,4 and 5 for oil changes, 3k for mostly city driving, 4k for city and highway and 5k for mostly highway. IMHO, I would recommend always changing the filter when you change the oil, no matter how many miles the manufacturer says it’s good for. For the amount of time and money, I think it’s a no brainer.

I use only Valvoline motor oils. One conventional, one high mileage, and Restore and Protect. Oil and filters are changed every 3K- 4K miles or 6 months. I’d never not change the filter after changing the oil. All my vehicles have over 200K miles and still going strong.

I wish I found this video a week ago 😅

I was standing in O’Reileys staring at the wall of oils to choose from for a half hour trying to figure out what to choose lol

Grandpa was a mechanic. He said change the oil and the filter together. He told me "boy you don't shower and put the same skivies on do you?"😅😅😅😅😅

The same manufacturer doesn't mean the same final blend. Cheaper oils do not have the same molecular type for multi grade oil and can have a problem when oil heats up. API doesn't mean anything if you do not use correct grade of oil SE, SL, SN ,etc. There is also a time limit on changing oil not just miles.

When you know how much oil does for your engine, changing it at 10k miles is just dumb. Besides the older the engine, the dirtier it gets inside.

If your old vehicle uses a rope rear main seal, you don't really want to use synthetic. Amsoil, Royal Purple and Red Line are not API licensed because they don't pay the licensing fee. They are also true Group IV and V synthetics. When the oil is listed as "Full Synthetic", it just means it's more refined conventional Group III oil than standard Group III conventional oil. Never, ever use an oil additives. Just buy the correct oil for your driving style and application. Lastly, never base your oil change interval on what a bottle or box says.

I've been running synthetic oil in every car I've driven, plus a "high mileage" oil filter. I'll change my oil roughly every 5,000 miles or so, depending on how the oil appears and feels. Dark oil or oil that feels significantly more viscous than fresh oil is something I'll change out.
I also change both the oil and filter on each oil change, getting as much oil out as I can. Never had any issues with leaks or gunked up engines
