Ok, I tried it and it didn't work. I sprayed a whole can of WD-40 in my flooded basement, and the water is still there!

Back in the 80's I had a VW bug that would get water under the distributor cap and die every time it rained. A quick shot of WD-40 fixed it every time.

It gets paint , grease ,glues and anything sticky off my hands. It's a great hand cleaner.....oh and my hands never rust.

Another use for WD-40 is after rust removal. A lot of rust removal products require rinsing off, and are susceptible to flash rust during the rinse or right after. <br><br>WD-40 solves that because after the rinse, you just spray the part down with WD and then you have time to leave it a while or immediately wipe it off and apply the proper chemical for whatever you need.
