Electric is spot on. I was at Klopp's final game May '24. I've been to indoor NFL stadiums with 80K fans, the Big House at U of Michigan with 100K fans, MLB World Series games, they were nothing like Anfield. The fans are the most intelligent, friendly, and respectful. Sat near the Kop. Best sporting event I've ever attended. Can't wait to come back!

Those three words, This Is Anfield. The mind games start as soon as you read it. The doubt crawl into the mind and you start thinking of all the big teams who have come here and fallen.

Michael Owen got me hooked on Liverpool. Steven Gerrard made me a Liverpool fan. Anfield stole my heart.

I maintain that the best atmosphere I've experienced at Anfield was 2005 Champions league semi final against Chelsea.

LIV v EVE derby 2022 - the one where Pickford faked a fall to waste time at 0-0 in the first half. And after we scored in the second half, Alison mocked him by doing the same thing late in the game. Right in front of the eve fans! That moment was louder than the actual goal!

If the Anfield effect was a myth like some haters claim then why do so few teams get decent results there? Rest my case. I thought Pep's explaination was absolutely perfect. He gets it. He's managed two European clubs with bigger stadiums yet he knows the difference at Anfield.

It was that game against Chelsea in the CL semi-final in 2005. That roar after the whistle it kinda showed Chelsea and Mourinho how truly small they are.
