  great tierlist - I would like to add that many espresso machines, especially on the cheaper range, dont come with regular baskets - only pressurized ones. getting a regular unpressurized basket (and usually you also need a new portafilter to fit the new basket) is practically nessecary to get the most out of all the other techniques you mentioned, like wdt and a good grinder.

  The bottomless portafilter actually helped me a lot in the beginning! The shots weren&apos;t tasting great and I didn&apos;t know why because I was so new to it. But then I was able to clearly see uneven extraction due to my uneven tamping and channeling; I fixed that and the shots were 10x better. Plus, when you get it right, it&apos;s so beautiful to watch lol

  Thanks for the video once again. Currently in my Rorschach phase of latte art. I make something, show it to my customers, and ask them what they think it is. Whatever their answer is they are always correct. Tips have greatly improved.
