I love that WDT tool „flick“ as it allows you to aggressively WDT all the way to the bottom of the basket! (Since the needles go back up into the body when you hit the bottom of the basket) Especially when you use a dosing ring.

BTW I have the flick its magnet attached to my espresso machine (magnetically, not using the tape) and this allows me to store the flick right on my machine

I own the subminimal scale and I see 2 benefits. 1) I can just leave my regular scale in the espresso machine and don’t have to move it around, 2) I don’t have to use a separate container to weigh the beans on, as the scale is the container.

I feel that at this point we really are past "needing" , that ship has sailed.

I bought it a few months ago just of curiosity. I thought I don’t need this scale until I tried it. Well now I have 2 scales. Who knew it would be sooo convenient 😊

The Subscale is my guilty pleasure. A really well designed and executed product.

I just loved the sub minimal scale and WDT , they as you said are making life easier, tools to enhance the experience of making coffee,, I believe that gadgets around coffee preparation are quite a lot and can be messy sometimes and if there anything to shortcut the process and further organizing it, it is a treat in fact

I bought the Flick on a whim and I can't imagine life without it.

I still think I won’t buy either of these, just because I already have a scale, dosing cup, and WDT that work well and it doesn’t make much sense for me to spend money on new ones. HOWEVER- I’m really happy to see how passionate the owner is about labor practices and that alone makes me think about this company in a totally different light!

I got the subscale and love it because now I keep my usual coffee scales under my machine without having to keep moving it back and forth. Great over the long term for my morning coffee routine.

I’m still using a cocktail stick for wdt, for the time being.

I was tempted to get the subscale until I realized I would be better off simply getting a second scale. With the subscale I would still have to move my primary scale around and change the mode whenever I switched between pour over and espresso. Now, I can keep my Timemore black mirror nano in one spot that works for bean weighing and pour over without changing the mode, and my new BooKoo underneath my Flair.

I was also tempted to get the flick until I saw the size needles and that they use a proprietary needle shape.

If you have the La Marzocco drip tray that seats the Acaia Lunar scale inside, you can leave that scale in your machine permanently and use the subliminal for dosing. Subminimal makes that process very convenient for me.
