  for Espresso:<br>1. Single dose grinder so expensive you slightly start crying (first bc of price, later bc of great taste), I love my Niche <br>2. Delonghi Dedica, it is temperature stable and reliable, with <br>3. a new naked portafilter (to look at the shot and to have bigger mugs) and a <br>4. IMS 51 mm basket<br>5. any cheap WDT<br>6. any metal tamper<br>7. any coffee scale<br>Enjoy!

  My perfect automatic device doesn&apos;t exist yet. But if it did exist, that is exactly where I would start - &nbsp;Plastic and silicone free (where it touches water), warming plate and PFA free. Might as well just invest in something that will last as long as possible that doesn&apos;t add extra chemicals to your brew. I could do this quite easily with manual methods, but I don&apos;t really enjoy the time it takes to make coffee manually in the morning for myself and family.

  I recently got a Switch and YES!! it&apos;s SO FORGIVING 😂 <br><br>If I grind too coarse, I can still get a good cup by letting it steep longer. If I grind too fine, I can agitate with a spoon while it&apos;s steeping. <br><br>It means you don&apos;t need to get a pricey grinder at the start. You don&apos;t need a gooseneck kettle, you can just focus on getting good beans an enjoying them!

  The criticism of the K6 is funny to me. I think it feels fantastic in the hand and I love using it, not least of all because it feels very premium to me.

  If you’re starting out with coffee, honestly: just get an AeroPress.<br>You don’t need a fancy setup or a bunch of gear.<br><br>A few years ago I made it to the semi-finals (final rounds) of the Belgian AeroPress Championship with a super basic setup: no scale, no gooseneck kettle, and a pretty mediocre hand grinder. I just went by feel, experience, and understanding the variables. Meanwhile most people next to me were professional baristas with all the toys. So yeah, good coffee isn’t automatically “expensive coffee”.<br><br>Of course it helps to know your dose in grams, at least once, so you learn what it looks and feels like. After that, you can work by intuition and consistency comes from knowing your own tools.<br><br>The real essentials are:<br> • great beans<br> • good water (please… not straight tap water)<br>Everything else is just playable variables.<br><br>If I’d recommend a second brewer, it’d be a simple V60. Just solid filter coffee, no fancy nonsense required. Same for kettles: you don’t need a precision-temperature gooseneck. Learn how your kettle behaves, listen, watch, adjust. That’s where the magic is.<br><br>That’s my take. 🤍

  Excellent advice - getting into coffee can be very intimidating - lots of coffee nerds and very expensive equipment and this video is a great guide for getting started.<br>Good specialty coffee with a good grinder and brewer makes for a life changing coffee experience - people honestly don&apos;t know what they&apos;re missing if they&apos;re drinking store bought, pre-ground coffee at the grocery store and throwing it in an automatic drip machine but this is what most people do!<br>I started roasting my own specialty beans (so fun and gives me complete control over what beans I want and how I want them roasted). Then a DF54 grinder and a Clever dripper - man is that great coffee! I have to pace myself or I&apos;d drink coffee all day and end up like Tweak on South Park.

  I don’t know anyone that drinks “black” coffee. Everyone puts in milk and sugar so personally I don’t waste money on the beans. <br>Maybe that’s because I’ve never had a truly amazing cup of coffee, but I’m also not trying to change anything that I like.
