We had a great set of cooks in our unit. They once sourced a large hog and spent the day tending a spit, slowly roasting it for us after we came back from a 7day Recce patrol, existing on LRRP rations. Gaunt/ filthy & exhausted it was a treat Ive never forgotten and appreciate the warm memory amid so many colder ones.

As a cook 🍳 for a very large nursing home 🏡 who worked all 3 shifts every other weekend. I can appreciate this ❤

One of the best military stories out here on you tube with the twist of the food providers cooks these guys did it with love ❤😊 and really cared about providing a meal of comfort for the fighting force in need I thank them 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I was an Army cook… and cooking in the field is crazy difficult. Couldn’t imagine doing it while being shot at. MRE’s are a cooks best friend.
