  I love the way our self importance as a species is getting crushed more and more as time goes on. When I was at school we were taught that man was the only creature that used tools. Now we are just one of many. The more we learn, perhaps the more humble we will become. I think that would be really good for all of us.

  Man is constantly finding out that we are not the center of the universe and not the center of anything in particular. We are a small part of a huge web of beings that depend on each other - time for some humility.

  The very fact that Naledi managed to survive until 300k years ago, living along much more brainy species like Homo erectus, is an indicator, that they were smarter than we think

  Crawling through those tight spaces in a dark cave, for me anyway, is the stuff of nightmares, but I am grateful to those &apos;skinny scientists&apos; who were not so squeamish. Fascinating stuff!

  The people who squeeze into that cave have more guts than me, I get claustrophobic watching them. &nbsp;It&apos;s unbelievable that anyone went in to explore it but I really appreciate them and the researchers who work there.

  As soon as I saw the initial cave map, I thought there must have been a hole directly over the burial site, and the bodies were lowered straight down. The other route is just so unlikely. What it doesn&apos;t change though, is that this is clearly a burial site, not a dumping hole.

  I remember when this cave was discovered and after hearing all the theories my immediate thought about there being no other way into the cave was, what on earth are they talking about. I am a life long caving enthusiast and the idea that there has been zero geological change to that cave in 300,000 that may have sealed an entrance possibly as small as the chutes that the skinny scientists had to climb down, let alone major disruption is just ridiculous. I have been down into caves that have altered in just the 30 years that I have been going into them.<br><br>I&apos;m not trying to dispute the theory of burial in any way, but the whole original entry being intact and unchanged in that time frame are millions to one.
