If you actually go to Japan, please be aware that these AI videos give you TOTALLY the wrong idea about the genkan. You NEVER stand in it in your sockfeet, FFS! The whole PURPOSE of it is to separate what touches the street (the bottoms of your shoes) and what touches thefloor/tatami inside the house (your socks). AND, you're not going to step up out of a genkan for a row of slippers that's lined up so you have to turn 180 degees to get into them! Nor, for the most part, do you leave your shoes facing the indoors; you either put them to the side, or face them toward the front door so you can slip right back into them when you leave. In case you haven't yet realized, it's not Japanese people making these videos, NOR is it people who are well-acquainted with Japan. So take everything with a grain of salt -- and my recommendation? Do NOT like. Do NOT subscribe. This is cheap slop clickbait.

建物は比較的良く出来てるが、柱の土台が室内に剥き出しになることは無い。あと、振る舞いに間違いが多すぎる。<br>・三和土に素足でや靴下で下りることは絶対に無い。<br>・襖を動かす時に手を添えるのは引き手の部分だけ。<br>・畳の縁は踏まない。<br>・着物を着用する時女性の髪は結い上げるのが普通<br>・風呂に衣服を着用して入ることは無いし、浴槽に衣服のまま入ることは絶対に無い。男女が同じ風呂に入る事も無い。
