It feels so strange watching a film from 50 years ago with an aircraft that looks more like the future than the past. Loved Blue Peter.

This is better than shows for adults today.

My father was on that inaugural flight. Still have his boarding card, and a letter he wrote to me while on board, using the gold leaf writing paper and envelope that was available for passengers.

Wow this takes me right back 50 years to watching this as a 10 year old.
Blue Peter was absolutely great then and I used to watch regularly.
The 70s seemed such an optimistic exciting time to grow up in, whatever happened to that?

Historic TV. It's absurd that after 50 years of technological progress, it's no longer possible to fly from London to Washington in three hours.

From 22:30 Lesley is fantastic. She made a beautiful speech. Just a fantastic moment in time and it made me tear up.
I was fortunate to fly once on the Concorde from LHR to JFK in 1998. The greatest flight of my life. And she is correct it is like flying on a time machine because it fly's faster than the earth rotates so you arrive before you leave in local time zones.
