  It's implied that in the eyes of the toons, being funny is the most attractive quality. That's part of why Jessica fell for Roger and why Betty Boop said SHE'S the lucky one. Roger being a genuinely good guy, too, probably helps.

  The whole WB/ Disney collab was and still is historic. Any main Disney character had to have equal screentime with any main WB character.

  Fun Fact: In the original script, Judge Doom would've been revealed to be the unseen hunter who shot Bambi's mom, who after that role, got typecast as a villain, and soon turned to real crime. It was cut because they felt his true identity was better left a mystery.

  Fun Fact - they actually got Mae Questel to reprise her role as Betty Boop for this film. She was the second voice actress for Betty Boop (from 1931 onwards) and was around 80 years old when she recorded her lines but as she said to Valiant "she's still got it"

  Random fact:  I saw this movie on VHS on a first date. I met a guy at the OU vs TX football game and he spent all his money at the TX State Fair that Saturday but he really wanted to go on a date with me. So the next night he cooked dinner for me and rented Who Framed Roger Rabbit. That was the very last “first date” I ever went on and we just celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary this month. This movie has a very special place in my heart.

  One of the darker factoids I remember about this movie was about the scene where judge Doom dips the shoe.  Shoes are made, or drawn, in pairs, and he killed one of them.  That means the other shoe will, forever, be missing it's "sole"mate.

  The plot is loosely based on real events. During the 1940s, the automobile companies bought up the RedLine trolley in L.A. so they could dismantle it. Because this happened at the same time as the zoot suit riots, the politicians used racism against the Latino community as a further reason to get rid of the trolleys. This would force the general public to buy cars and not rely on public transport. By the time this was found out (decades later), all the people responsible were dead, so there was no one to punish.
